Call for proposals for Celebrating Languages Without Borders (CLWB) 2020 has been extended until February 17, 2020

CLWB 2020 is a national professional development conference for second language educators and will be held on October 22–24, 2020 at the Hyatt Regency in Vancouver. Nominations for Jordan's Principle Award Open until March 29th

Named in loving memory of Jordan River Anderson, the Jordan's Principle Scholarship will be awarded to First Nations students studying children's health or children with disabilities. Nominate someone here.

Put Reconciliation in Action by Celebrating Have a Heart Day

Celebrated annually on or around Valentine's Day, it is a child and youth-led reconciliation campaign to help ensure First Nations children get the services they need to grow up safely at home, get a good education, be healthy, and be proud of who they are. Find out ways to celebrate here


Who We Are

A specialist association of the BCTF, the Aboriginal Education Association supports educators to understand issues related to Indigenous Peoples in Canada. The AEA strives to connect members to resources and offer strategies for teaching Aboriginal education. A provincial-wide conference on Aboriginal education is hosted each year in October to share emerging themes in the Aboriginal curriculum.
